Gregory Ackerman Releases Captivating New Single "When It's Through"

Gregory Ackerman, a Los Angeles-based musician, has released his latest single, "When It's Through," which serves as the centerpiece of his new EP, 'Brand New Life.' This compelling guitar-driven tune represents life's journey and reflects Ackerman's personal development and experiences. The EP, created in conjunction with D. Casey (Weyes Blood) and M. Chalecki (Mavis Staples), combines indie appeal with genuine storytelling to highlight Ackerman's distinct style.

Gregory Ackerman, a singer-songwriter, producer, and touring bassist, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He has previously released two full-length albums: "And Friends" on V2 Records in 2018 and "Still Waiting Still," which was self-published in 2021. His 2019 EP, "Stresslove," was also published through V2 Records. He has now linked up with Polymoon, a Netherlands-based label, to produce 'Brand New Life.'

Ackerman's career has included national tours as a bassist with singer/songwriter Jack Symes and, most recently, with Bright Antenna artist Windser. He has also traveled abroad as a solo musician, including in the Netherlands.

"The title of this EP, 'Brand New Life,' signifies a change, a fresh start, and represents a snapshot of the current moment of my life," Ackerman explains. "The title tune is a love song about a girl I had just met at the time of writing and who I am now planning to marry in April. When I first met her, I realized something had changed inside of me. I realized I was walking a new route alongside her."

Ackerman continues, "We now have a home together and will marry in the spring, just before this EP is published. This EP truly represents me as I embark on this new era of life with my spouse. My music has changed sonically to mirror this personal development. My songs have a renewed spirit, attitude, honesty, and steadiness. This EP is the pinnacle of my musical career so far."
