Nelda Releases New Single “Home Is Where I Go”

Nelda, a London-based musician, is thrilled to announce the release of her new track, "Home Is Where I Go." This intriguing tune, co-written with Australian artist Etoile Marley, is the second single from Nelda's forthcoming concept album.

"Home Is Where I Go" is a rich blend of pop, groove, jazz, and contemporary soul, giving listeners a new and soulful sound that explores themes of feeling at home and being yourself. The song is part of a broader project exploring the topic of voluntary displacement, which was inspired by interviews with international composers from Brazil, Argentina, Bangladesh, Italy, Nigeria, Slovakia, Greece, Ukraine, and Cyprus who have lived in London.

Several themes arose from these conversations about the trials of coming to a new nation and establishing it. Nelda and Etoile Marley have masterfully designed "Home Is Where I Go" following the key subject discovered: the idea that home is a sensation we create wherever we go, rather than a specific location. This pop-jazz song challenges the concept of belonging while wonderfully revealing that home is a treasure we carry within ourselves.

Nelda's silky voice and passionate delivery, mixed with the song's lively and jazzy orchestration, result in a track that is both thought-provoking and relaxing. "Home Is Where I Go" encourages listeners to consider their feelings of home and belonging, making it a relatable and impactful addition to Nelda's career.

“Home Is Where I Go” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
