The creation of "Loud" has an intriguing past. It began as a full instrumental demo created by guitarist Kris during a sleepless night. Kris established the song's core elements, such as rhythmic guitar parts and layered percussion, bass, and lead guitar concepts. The song remained in the band's archives until vocalist Baxter discovered it and wrote the words in an unexpected flash of inspiration while commuting.
"Loud" began as a live show staple, but evolved as the band experimented and refined the song in their home studio. Despite a past drummer's doubts, Kris and Baxter recognized the song's potential and brought it to producer Jared Corder at Polychrome Ranch. Corder's experience assisted the band in refining the track, yielding a powerful hymn that is both raw and refined.
Kris expressed enthusiasm for the song's release as she reflected on its development. "It's been a journey to get here, and we can't wait for everyone to hear the final product," he joked.
