Brian Johnstone Releases Heartwarming New Single "Every Stranger"

Brian Johnstone, a multi-genre solo musician from Skelmorlie, United Kingdom, has released his new track, "Every Stranger." Johnstone, known for his musical flexibility, adds smooth jazz, neo-soul, and a Latin atmosphere to this upbeat piece.

"Every Stranger," which was recorded in Johnstone's home studio in Skelmorlie, has guest session players from all over the world, including Italy, Germany, Russia, and Colombia. This global collaboration perfectly complements the song's message of unity and trust among people. Johnstone's soft rhythms and exotic atmospheres create an appealing, relaxed vibe that is sure to enchant listeners.

Brian Johnstone, a seasoned keyboard/piano player, writer, composer, producer, arranger, and educator, has an extensive musical background. Following the breakup of his previous band, he released his debut solo album on the Centaur Record label in 1994. Johnstone, known for his propensity to experiment with genres, drew inspiration for "Every Stranger" from David Benoit, Joe Sample, Bob James, Bill Sharpe (Shakatak), and Don Grusin.

"Every Stranger" serves as the lead single from his seventh album, "Separate Together." This album is a travel-inspired collection that combines world music to explore humanity's wonders, expressing the excitement of new experiences, the joy of human connections, and the introspective quiet of travel. With soothing rhythms, exotic atmospheres, and calm vibes, Johnstone hopes to transport listeners across continents and cultures, pushing musical limits and celebrating the universal human experience.

Johnstone's collaborations extend beyond the record. He has written songs with well-known performers including Judie Tzuke, Gary Tallant of Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band, Redrama, Mike Read, and Peter Donegan. His enthusiasm for music is shown in his job as co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Flameleaf Vocal Academy, an online training resource for budding vocalists.

"Every Stranger" evolved from a riff written for a technical assignment at Flameleaf Vocal Academy. The song expresses the idea that every stranger is a potential friend, emphasizing the value of trust, courage, and human connection. Mixed by Nuno Fernandez of Portugal, the music is a catchy pop song with a modern sound and production.

"Separate Together" is a shift from Johnstone's earlier albums, which frequently addressed themes of reflection, dissatisfaction, rage, and sadness. This album is a pleasant and uplifting record that honors the qualities we all share as humans. Each tune takes listeners on a unique journey, encouraging self-discovery and the joy of human interactions through music's universal language.

"Every Stranger" and the rest of "Separate Together" are now accessible across all major streaming platforms. This heartfelt tune is sure to strike a chord with listeners all over the world, reminding us all of the beauty and value of human connections.
